Brad Ardley is based in Toronto working as a photographer and video producer in the music industry. Originally a live broadcaster for sports and politics in Ottawa, he left everything behind to chase a career focused around his passions.
If your entire life was a movie, what title would best fit?
This Big Lebowski or Cats (2019).
What unexpected situations made you who you are today?
Working with so many musicians and witnessing beautiful stories from much more creative people than I in every walk of life has completely shifted the way I think and go through life. It's given me an overpowering perspective and deeper love for my friends and family.
Also watching David Lynch movies with my friends. That stuff is just nuts and messed up our brains but inspired the emotions I chase in any work I do.
What were you doing when you lost track of time?
Sitting behind a drum kit and getting completely lost in a ridiculously technical metal song. It can be so overwhelming and exciting that the rest of the world just kind of goes away. I find it to be one of my favorite times to think. It's meditative to me.
If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Buy 14.2 million dollars worth of more lottery tickets!
If you could start over, what would you do differently?
Nothing. If I did anything different I wouldn't be me.
